Hello everyone,
I was painting a log skidding implement that I just welded today, and I started mixing colors for fun to see if I could come close to the faded color of my 205-4. I alternated layers of ACE hardware brand Allis Chamers( picked it in passing, as it looked close, they didn't have MF) and Rustoleum brand "red sunrise" I got from home-cheepo. With some practice I was able to get pretty darn close to the original color except that the new paint has some gloss, and the old is very dull, but color-wise I'm right there. I notice the newer tractors have a different color, with less orange, and more red. Does anyone know what year they changed colors? Does an MF dealer carry both the new and the old red?
