For those, I would just mow them down with my lawnmower set as high as it would go. Then when they sprout back out, spray the tender foliage with Roundup and be thru with them. YOU don't mention any kind of equipment that you may have but a weed eater with a steel gator blade will cut thru those easily. I use one on my fence line cutting small trees, vines etc and it works really well. The gator head is available at Walmart for about $20 and you could use it to weed the area around the vines also.

If you don't have a weedeater, they aren't that expensive either for less than $100 you could get all you need to do the job yourself in less than an hour.

Looking at them I would mow and then spray. I had 1 acre of brambles to remove before I could put in my crep trees. It was cut and spray, cut and spray. Those dont look that thick pruners (long handled) will do the job you could even just yank them out or use a pitch fork to get them out of there and then burn them.

I use Ortho GroundKleer, a soil sterilizer, and it works WAY better than Round-up. It kills whatever DEAD! Once and done.

Round up.
The concentrate not the 10% stuff on the hardware shelf but the real deal Round-Up I need to mix to specs stuff.
Whack them down after they die, rototill the roots.
Repeat next year.
BECAUSE they will come back till you kill every last bit of them I don't care how much you try to dig them up........they will come back.

Hi shellybement...

rsallen is right - you need to prepare the site before removal. Wait until the raspberries are vigrously growing, then hit 'em with roundup and/or triclopyr (heavy duty brush killer). Then wait for a month.

Raspberries spread via rhysome root system - if you don't kill the entire plant (ALL the root tendrils), they will re-sprout the next year.

Hope this helps.

Raspberry grower.

Good idea to hire out that work. If you rent a tractor or excavator......next thing you know.....you'll be buying one or trying to explain to the wife why you need one. They're awfully fun to run and play with.....some folks even call that work. Good luck with your project.
