oldhipbilly here needs help ie Cub cadet 1042 PTO

It was working fine but was trowing the belt off I tried to adjust the deck etc but Had to replace the belt now pto does not engage the fuse was blowed replaced that still pto will not engage. Called the shop to come get that was the 18th of May, they still havent, and the grass is getting away. any help on trouble shooting would be great. I don;t know what else to do .

Electric PTO? If so, when it threw the belt off, did it cut, rip, tear or otherwise knock the wire to the PTO clutch/pulley off?

Is you battery old or worn almost out. It could be just bad enough that even charging out still don't have enough power to run. Had that problem with my craftsman gt6000
