Yanmar 240D
I just bought a 240 D with the clutch out and replaced it. I went Yanmar as a result of reading this forum for the last 6 months or so and seeing what a great bunch of guys are on. I stumbled across an older 240D less than 3 miles from my house and next door to the guy who always worked on my Ford 601. It has a factory loader and I am tickled pink that I now have something in common with you all. I will post a picture soon of my new baby and explain the story behind why it is painted like an Oliver.

Welcome!

I was reading your bio....There is no person more unappreciated than a good principal. No one will dislike you for having an American Yanmar (in fact, it makes you a possible resource for people who have models similar to yours). We like all tractors, hate scammers (and people with ulterior motives), and overall we just try to help other tractor owners in general. Anybody who can add knowlege to the board is welcome. Anybody willing to learn is welcome because later they can provide information to others. Life is a learning esperience. You are among the fortunate among us as it is unlikely that parts for you will ever be a problem, nor will english manuals.

Now all you have to do is buy as many implements as you can and get to work making your place better.

Welcome aboard! Doesn't matter what model. If it looks, feels, or smells like diesel, I like it! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Alas I've been joined by another magnificent 240D. I won't be lonely here any more, suffering among the red tractors.
YEEHAW!!
BTW, that loader was manufactured for Yanmar US by Woods. Keep an eye on the loader valve to make sure the links supporting the handles are secure or you can bend a valve spindle.
I gotta go chain the mighty 240 down to keep her from doin backflips.
If you must paint it, NAPA can provide Yanmar Puke green.
