Mowing ? on Kubota L2250 w/RC60-25 Belly Mower

Just acquired this unit and I use it for mowing our lawns as well as horse pastures. I like the horse pastures longer, 4+ inches, and thought I could just mow with the mower in the transport position. But the Operator's Manual specifically says: "[CAUTION] NEVER OPERATE MOWER IN TRANSPORT POSITION".

Any idea why they say this?
