Does anyone know if you can run hydraulic driven implements (like skid steer brush hog rotary cutters) from the loader quick attach on the Kubota loader backhoes?
I am thinking that the factory plumbed hydraulics are just for lift cylinders and not motors and the machine probably does not have an adequate hyd oil cooler for a high horsepower attachment.

I am speaking of a matched psi/flow motor. I believe the hyd circuits are in the neighbor of 11 gpm. I am not speaking of a high flow 30 gpm installed with only 11 gpm.

I concur with your thoughts as do others. While investigating stump grinders the vertical-axis grinders from Fecon were attractive but required skid steer oil flows. An hydraulic power pack appropriate for my L45's 32 HP PTO would have added over $5K to the cost of the implement.

I think the best we can hope for on our low flow systems is a properly rated auger / post hole digger

Titan makes a pto hydraulic power pac for their FEL rotary cutter. Their motors use two lines. The problem is not only flow but case drain, and always open discharge back to tank on large hydraulic motors and implements with spinning loads that can’t stop fast.
Offset weight becomes a quick issue for boom mowers.

I have a L39 and have a hydraulic snowblower for the front. It runs on the factory front aux taps. I changed the motor to a smaller cu inch so it would turn faster for my 11 ish gpm. Copied the manufacturer’s smaller model. I don’t have a large area to blow so any over heating of oil hasn’t been noticed. Two passes on a 300 ft drive. I sure the cold weather helps the issue. Love the fact that mount and dismount is less than 2 minutes ( if I can get the flat face couplers to close)
