Well thank you all for your input! Much appreciated, and entertaining to say the least! Love it! I'm happy to report that Wisdom and Knowledge have prevailed in this case! I chatted with my neighbor last night, and he apologized, stating that his wife, went on-line, and looked up the property lines, and realized I was spot on with where the line was, and he realized that he was in fact right on the line, if not over it onto my side. So he graciously said he will be moving it back a few feet. And told me that he is glad I said something about it.

So I thanked him, and said his plan sounds fine to me, and we are now in agreement! I told him I would be happy to help him bury the old holes and dig the new ones, if he wanted any help.

Thanks y'all.

Since this worked out so well, have you considered taking this new neighbor out for a treat somewhere? It's always best to reinforce GOOD behavior...

Neighbors need training TOO!

If you are just north of the sunbury area, you are starting to get into my territory:D

Are you still in the high-tax county of delaware?

Delaware County, A.K.A. "Taxaware" yes indeed!

I just moved out of Delaware county. My taxes were huge for my small place. Moved to Union county, much better.

Yep, Delaware county taxes are high indeed.

Morrow county is MUCH friendlier on the pocket-book:thumbsup:

Awesome! Yeah I'm SERIOUSLY considering moving out of Delaware co. Just tired of being confined to one acre, and surrounded by a three neighbors and a state route in the front yard. I would much rather have more land with neighbors accustom to small farm and country living. I know I can't get away from neighbors all together, Nor do I want to! Neighbors are very important! And we must be good to each-other, I guess I'm just growing tired of stepping on toes that might be a little to close to my toes.

Morango...never heard of it:D

Marengo is a great little town though:laughing:

I have to ask a few questions though.....

Did you grow up in Ohio? wondering what "buckeyefarmer" means? Since this IS the buckeye state.

And if so, why did you move so far away?

I'd accidently back my tractor over it:laughing:. A 15' set back is there for a reason. We don't all have to get along, IMO.

Perhaps he uses the high resolution photography available from the Buckeye project.

I don't know if that would be considered a permanent structure or not in the eyes of the zoning dept. Just to make sure I understand, its on his side of the line by 12"? If it is on his side of the line, whats your problem with it? I'm sorry, but if you want to control everything around you, you had better buy it next time it comes up for sale.
Amen to that, everybody wants to tell everybody else what to do and how to do it these days. If one keeps it up, the guy could just as well really put up a couple of "temporary" eyesores for everyone to look at.

Southern morrow county is getting almost as bad as delaware county.....only with lower taxes.

With I71 running right up through, with two exits, a lot of city-folk have been moving up here because they "think" they want to live in the country...and still be 20-30 minutes from columbus.

My cousin who lives near me had a neighbor that was really bad. My cousin made a 4-wheeler track out back. He enjoyed riding. During reasonable and day-light hours mind you and only once or twice a month we had a get-together. His neighbor called the sheriff and complained that we were too noisy. Sheriff (whom we know) came out (cause he had to). We laughed about it. He politely told the neighbor that "this aint the city" and "in this county, we dont have any noise ordinances":laughing:

Well...the neighbor didnt stop trying. About a week later he called again because of some of the low spots used to create the jumps on the track were holding water. He wanted to press charges for "intentionally creating mosquito breeding grounds"

Glad when that neighbor moved out. There are quite a few infesting this once "great" place to live

 Guess I should have looked up the spelling. They used to live in Marion, I think I can spell that one. :)
I'm a buckeye, grew up on a farm in ohio, and moved far far away for work... All my relatives live all over ohio. We even had buckeye trees on the farm, so I guess that made me a buckeyefarmer.

you ALL are pretty far south of me, I'm pretty much half way in between Cleveland and Columbus.

Having same problems city people moving out and wanting to stop everyone but them from doing anything remotely farm like...

Rules are rules and 15' is 15'.

If you don't like a rule or law, you change them.

Nobody is above the law.
