One more question 1740M

The gas tank is supposed to hold ten gallons. When full I値l run it for a couple of hour and the gas gauge will show almost empty. I値l put five gallons in the tank and the gas gauge shows full. Any ideas?

The saddle tanks take FOREVER to transfer from the left side to the right side. When you initialy fill it, wait 5 minutes and check it again, it shiuld have gone down and take more fuel. (poor design)
And apparently the fuel gauge sending unit is in the left side and the fuel pickup is on the right, so if you are on a left sidehill, and below 1/4 tank the guage will read fuel in the tank but it won't pick up and the tractor dies untill you put more fuel in it and bleed it. (Ask me how I know, lol)

I've noticed on my 1735m, if I keep filling to the hose at the top of the fill tube, it seems to vent and fill the other side of the tank.
