One of the largest manual chainsaws ever made

This is on display at Northern Arizona University School of Forestry. A 60” bar. The only larger saws are machine mounted. Two man operated.

With the handle at the bar end, is that a "man and a Half" saw?

I've got the "unpower" version of that. but I call it a buck saw. ;-)

I think it’s intended for 2 men to operate.

that's a big saw, almost impractical ... like these ones but hey they sound great !!

I've seen old photos of how saws like this were used. End of the bar had a "handle" - like a set of bicycle handle bars. Two men to operate this unit. Used to fall gigantic Redwoods in California.

Meaning that it isn’t machine mounted and is intended to be handled by people.
