thanks Kennyd. i'm looking for parker 60 series part # H3-63-T8, QD nipple, and the places i listed seem to be the only places that actually SELL them. i can find the H3-63 version everywhere, but the ORB T8 version seems to be hard to come by.

i've bought from surplus center many times, but they don't have that nipple in stock at this time.

hydraulic house is out...they have an outrageous small order shipping charge of $23.

hose and fittings is $7 shipping, which is still alot of a few fittings, but at least somewhat reasonable.

i have to make a cpl calls locally to see if anyone has/can get them, at a reasonable price. if not, i will give hose/fittings.com a try.

No personal attack here but I really cringe when I see this kind of post.

I work for a large wholesale distributor and we have an Amazon presence. Occasionally we sell an item for less than $10. Our minimum shipping charge is almost $8.00 and once in a while the buyer complains of our 'high' shipping costs for such a low priced item.

Since we do 'activity based costing' here (just means we analyze what EVERY activity we do costs us) we know exactly how much it costs to pick, pack & ship an order. Let's just say there are a lot more costs involved than the $5.00 UPS charges us.

If we only had orders worth $10 we would be out of business in no time. We lose $$$ on every one. There is no making it up on volume here.

i understand that you have to do what you have to do to make a living....but i always figure the cost of shipping into the overall price to figure out the per item cost to me. one supplier sells the fittings cheaper, but by adding $23 to ship 5 fittings, that's almost as much as i can get them for at the other place including shipping! i have to buy from the place that gives me the overall lowest price, as long as they are reputable!

i ordered the fittings from hoseandfitting.com on 6/16. they came today 6/18.

they had 2 different steel (not including the stainless) models, one about 2x more in price than the other. when i asked what the difference was, they said the cheap ones were off brand imported and the other were made in the USA. i got 5 to have a cpl spares, and one looks to be a genuine parker, stamped w/ part #, says USA and had a cap covering the threads. the other 4 seem to be 3rd party, labeled differently and no cap. the 'USA parker' looks better. the poppet is slightly different. i have to shoot them an email to make sure i got 5 of the ones i wanted vs the imported ones. not sure how many domestic mfgs there are. the USA one looks like the originals on my deere loader.

i got 5 of the USA (more expensive ones), including shipping, for less than 4 of them were from deere.
