Tractor
Kubota L4330 with LA853 Loader, Yanmar YM276D with YFL1000 Loader, Yanmar YM276D, Yanmar YM147D, Case 1845C
I have been writing about wanting a loader for the YM276D. Well there was one on the Internet posted, a Yanmar version. The slight issue is that it's attached to another YM276D. Supposedly it has 948 hours but the clutch is frozen. It runs because of the shuttle. It needs a ride to Kentucky to get home. Then we can see if it's merely a parts tractor or worth rebuilding and replacing the clutch. The good news is there is no more need to find a loader.

She's not pretty.......

Tractors are like potato chips, can’t have just one.

Well we can afford more than one old Yanmar. I would not want to think what a group of new tractors would cost.

Adorable. Now you have twins.

The one with the loader has a Hoye decal that is noticeable. Wonder if it was a Hoye restore back in the day.

948 hours is rather young. My machine is up to 1808 now. Thus, it should be another good machine to TLC and have fun using it.

I did not know Hoye restored Yanmars, but if Hoye did, they would have a record of it. After looking at photos, it doesn't look as bad as initially thought. A bit of money should make it very nice. We shall see.

See, this is why prices are so high. The rich get richer and US poor slobs trying to get our first tractor are priced out of the market. Stop tractor greed now! Write your representatives and demand immediate action to put a stop to this corrupt practice. It is unconscionable that anyone have more than one as long as there are those of us wallowing in tractorlessness. The FBI should be brought in to find out how you colluded to corner the tractor market and deprive others of their human rights!

I hope you can sleep at night. My children will have to go untold nights shivering in their beds dreaming of a tractor in the family while you and yours gloat about having multiple tractors. Think of my forests going untended. The noxious weeds spreading their poison throughout the county. Unchecked. Why? Tractor greed. The entire earth's ecology hangs in the balance. Precious trees lost to the choking undergrowth. Tons of clean oxygen lost because you and people like you just cannot get enough tractors.

I propose a tractor tax. 100% of the value of your tractor fleet. The 1st tractor is exempt. The funds will be used to distribute tractors to the tractorless. It is the only humane thing to do!

This little bit of sarcasm is yours for the low, low price of your time.

Torvy,

Some of us choose to have multiple children, and others choose to have multiple tractors. Some choose both. Only time will tell who is wiser....

Gosh, in my corner of the world, used tractors are like hen's teeth, and when you do find one it usually has a description along the lines of "used to run great when grand dad had it. It has been sitting for a few years (20), and might be missing some parts, but we aren't sure as we can't get it started", and priced at what it cost new. I don't mind taking a flyer on a pig in a poke, but not if it is much more than scrap pricing..., but that's just me.

@richriddle Congratulations on the new tractor! @Torvy I hope that your tie comes soon.

All the best,

Peter
