For me, I love it. Much of my rear work is a blade. very intuitive function for a 6 way blade. When I do ditch work the ability to control the tilt and the angle of the blade with the joystick is great. The offset for the blade is a button and it works OK as I don't use it that much. The only thing I did was put a red LED on the loader arm that is ON when the rear scv are engaged.

Sounds like it would suit the video game crowd fine.

Loader joysticks and in poor location to use when turned backwards.

Only a 800 series Belarus would be as bad as that (levers along front window of cab)

On the bigger equipment I could see it being benificial but on something this small it feels more of a hinderance than anything

I have 4 couplers on the front for the loader and snowblower and have 8 on the rear (6 for remotes and two are power beyond for my backhoe) yes the joystick has a rocker switch that operates one set of remotes in the rear.

There is lots of room in the cab to add more valves to control the rear remotes, you wouldn't want to put levers in the cab cause it would get tight but the rocker switches that e-scv uses would work with tons of room

I totally understand your point. What a Pain In The Butt to hafta reach forward for the joystick while trying to look over your shoulder to do rear mounted work!!!!

It's definitely because of money. If John Deere continues down this road,,,, which they will,,,, they will lose the reputation of being the Cadillac of Tractors and the Benchmark for others to follow.

Not trying to start a brand war. Just stating my opinions.

One point, they (JD) did this after feedback from the TLB crowd on the 110 and similar machines. The next point is space, not the space for the switches, but the space for the actual valves. Having installed a e-valve (for the 6th function) they are neither cheap nor space efficient.
A physical valve body is smaller than a e-valve for the same number of circuits.

On 2009 4520 cab I have the joy stick circuits (2) and a lever operated remote valve for the rear outlet. This is three valves total. No electric controlled valves and no diverter. That works for me since I did not want a fel on this tractor I rerouted the mid couplers to the rear to control the top n tilt hitch. If there had been an option to add additional discreet valves and couplers I would have done it. This is not offered today either. I would have paid for an option to get a five or six spool valve if offered.

If it's space that's the issue and the levers take up less space then why not make shorter levers? That would save room in the cab and under the panel. The third scv is for the mid mower so it can stay on the joysticks third function cause I found that to be convenient and then add the smaller levers for the first and second set of scv's in the rear leaving you with only 2 levers to install.
