I don't think width will be the issue as those aren't normally used for pulling huge amounts of heavy material. I think the "size" of rake will be the thing you need to watch out for. Get one that isn't made for a low-lifting 3PH like on your (our) generation of BX and you'll constantly be dragging it on the ground.
I'd start with the "XB" series at Tractor Supply. Well priced, they are sized specifically for sub-compact equipment. I have a subsoiler of theirs and have been happy. There are several others that make sub-compact sized implements as this is a fairly popular tractor segment. My dealer carries things here and there, but they don't always have the 'little' stuff on hand.
I'm looking at getting a York Rake this spring, money permitting. Dang economy. I really wish I had one when I did my lawn rehab. Very handy piece of equipment.
