i have been looking at yanmars and zennohs for
some time. i can get a good deal on a zennoh but
my question is on the engines. is there a big difference
between a 18 hp 2 cylinder and a 21 hp 3 cylinder
besides the obvious. smoothness? vibration? etc?
any comments appreciated. would a18 hp 2cylinder
have enough power for a loader? a tiller? i currently have
a couple of powerkings im thinking of replacing.

Zennoh tells us only that the tractor was made by Yanmar or Kubota. You need to be sure what tractor you are looking at. Also beware of using the decal for ID....there have been instances of tractors showing up in this market completely mis-identified by the decal, even as to brand.

If you are dealing with a competent dealer with integrity, the dealer can tell you definitively what the tractor can and can't handle, and how well it will handle any given item. That way you also have a fallback position. If you bought a tractor from a dealer, not asking for that advice, and came back later saying "the guys on bynet told me this should handle a 62' whopperjobber, and it won't", the dealer is going to tell you that you should have asked him. On the other hand, if the dealer tells you it will handle that, then you have a valid reason to ask the dealer to make things right. Mind you, I'm not at all suggesting you not ask around and get opinions, but in your own interest make sure to ask the dealer those questions too.
