I have a Deere 4600 tractor with FEL. I need a backhoe for small jobs. Something like fixing a 24" culvert that's a couple feet down I understand it's limitations and that there are mixed reviews about hoes mounted to tractors.
I know I 48 hoe will attach to this machine. I also believe this is essentially the same setup as a 110 Backhoe. I'm sure there are differences.
This is sort of a wild card since I don't know if I would be able to come up with the brackets to mount the hoe on the tractor and get it all plumbed in correctly, my local Deere dealers are sort of incompetent when it comes to older equipment such as this and I do most everything myself.
I know some of you own a 48 hoe. In your opinion is this worth my time and effort? Would it be easier to get an aftermarket subframe mounted model?
