Hi guys. I've been thinking about selling all my older tractors and picking up a new one. I'm building a new house/barn this year on 24acres, 16 is open & 8 is wooded. As much as I like working (on my schedule) on the old iron, I don't want to deal with break downs in the middle of this project.
I was looking at the NH Workmaster 60. It seems to be exactly what I'm looking for, 50pto HP, 4x4, the loader lifts 2700lbs and is detachable. I drove it around a little bit and I really like the shuttle shift. I should be getting a quote today with the 621 loader and 3 remotes, I wanted 4 but he said they don't offer 4. I'm probably daydreaming but If quote comes in the mid to low $20's, I think I'll buy it.
What can you guys tell me about this machine, the good & bad?

Mine was delivered last Thursday. I put 10 hours on it over the weekend testing it out on various chores and I'm pleased so far.

While lifting some old wooden posts out of the ground the 621 FEL was able to get the back end off the ground. Tires are filled, but I'm adding some weights to the rear wheels this weekend. image.jpeg

Nice tractor :)

Adding weight to the 3pt lift will do your front axle a favor compared with wheel weights.

Don't forget to look at LS for a better price on the same tractor. Look at the XU series if you think you need that much power.

I don't think that's true anymore. I just got off the phone with a LS sales rep a few minutes ago. He gave me a quote for the XU6158 with 2 remotes and he's $6500 more than the NH dealer on the WM60. I'm not sure about the LS but the WM is coming with loaded rear tires.

Those aren't the same machines.

The Workmaster would be more comparable to the LS K series.

There are small WorkMasters that share some LS parts, the big ones are totally different tractors. Even the small ones are getting more different all the time.
