Is anyone familiar with or have opinions or insights about the 'Wolverine' series of control valves by Prince Mfg. ?
The Wolverine Line Hydraulics By Prince Manufacturing Corporation

First time I get across this brand....according to pdf-file

-it is a closed center valve rated 3500psi/8gpm....

-seems like it can be converted to PowerBeyond, so that must mean it can be used as open center aswell....

-valve design looks pretty nice...very compact, and Joy stick is among the acessories.....

-reasonably priced too...

It's a " cost effective line" built overseas . Prince on their web site explained that customers wanted a line like that.

They are manufactured in Korea...the one I have looks to be well made

if you go to e-bay and search for "Prince Manufacturing 1 Spool Hydraulic Valve 8 GPM NEW" there is currently one for sale (buy now) for $75 + shipping... this is a new valve model # MB11B5C1 that lists for $136. basic

I took a chance a bought one...unfortunately it will not be until April that I get a chance to install it...I bought this valve to operate a grapple on my FEL.

I have to find some male to male (ORB to NPT) adapters to connect the QDCs...

I just did the reverse. I took the valve off of a HF splitter (Chinese? Indian? Korean?) that was malfunctioning, and replaced it with a (US made) Prince LS-3000-1. Looks to be well made valve, operates more smoothly and has better flow than the old, foreign-made one that it replaced.

Prince is being forced to compete with the Chinese, and since Prince can not legally use slave labor here in the US, they have done the next best thing than going to China, they went to Korea. More consistent metallurgy, better trained and educated workforce than China, and, in the end, a better product than China.

Remember when we used to make stuff here?
