I know it's not the premium vehicle that most people have on this forum, but after fully reviewing my needs for general work around the home, firewood movement, misc. landscaping tasks, and helping a neighbor now & then, the TX fits the bill. I also managed to stay a step below my 2 brother-in-laws' ATVs so they won't be borrowing mine. No matter how fast they get to the trail head, they still have to wait for me to bring the camp supplies (food & cold beverages).

Accessories: Front & Rear receiver hitches, front bumper, front grill guard, deluxe light kit (flashers, turn signals, brake lights). Probably will get it Rhino-Lined. It should match up perfectly with the running gear wagon I bought from Northern Tool.

Pictures to follow in a couple of weeks.

Thanks to everyone for all the great info shared on this site.

Congratulations! No need to explain why you bought that model! I have an '04 HPX and I have no need or desire to "upgrade" to the XUV models as my HPX suits me just fine. :)

We bought a new TX in 2005 that is essentially equipped like yours with the exception that we opted for the power dump and just recently added the JD cargo box extensions. I considered trading it for an XUV just this year but the dealers in my area did not want to seem to offer anything on trade and would not budge very much on XUV pricing, so we bought a new Jeep Wrangler instead.

I have no regrets in holding on to the TX and was not going to just "give it away" on trade. Basically, my only reason for wanting to trade for the XUV was simply my personal "desire" for four-wheel drive and not really a proven "need" for four-wheel drive on our property. The TX has good payload and towing capacity and, with suspension at all four corners, the TX is a definite improvement in ride comfort and handling over the TS model..and it adds a few more horsepower and a little more torque. With the rear differential locked, it has gone everwhere we needed to go. No problems at all to date. Starts easy (even in cold weather) and runs well. I am sure you will enjoy your TX and find it to be very useful and reliable as I believe it to be one of the best--if not the best-built --2WD UTV on the market. We use ours for many different purposes and use it much more often than we ever would have imagined. We never thought we would use it more than our JD tractor, but certainly do! Congrats on your purchase and enjoy!!!

Yes the TX is probably the wisest choice of the entire line if you are doing work with it and really want to spend the least money possible. I started out thinking about the compact not realistic due to size. Then looked at TS it has size, but the engine is the same size as the compact (and no oil filter). The TX makes the grade all around. I frequently have wondered how they get what they do out of an engine with that small of HP. Has no problem whatsoever going up some really steep hills at my neighbors. I am sure you will enjoy it. If you have been reading the forum, then you probably saw the one drawback I have mentioned the oil filter was a traumatic experience to get off. I do believe that next time it will be much better due to both the prior experience of getting the original one off and since I did not torque it down like they do at the factory. Sure wish they didn稚 do that

Besides hauling manure and bedding out of the barn, it moves hay, round pen panels, tools and materials to work project locations and will soon assist in yard work as I paln to buy a sprayer for it to hit my fence lines with (that weed eater is going to get a rest - and me too). But of course it is a blast just to cruise around in it.

Picked up my TX last week - here's a couple of pics just after I got home. Haven't used it a whole let yet, but lots of plans Memorial Day weekend. Mostly dirt & mulch redistribution. I have been impressed with the size and maneuverability and the hitch will be a backsaver - much easier to jockey around a couple of utility trailers (empty). Thanks again to everyone for posting all the valuable info on TBN.
