After weeks of thinking and researching I finally ordered a thumb for my BH. I was going to get a CDP kit and weld it up but after many measurements and concidering hours of welding I chose the MT830 from excavatorthumbs.com. It is a bit long but can be cut 2 inches for a perfect match. They both weigh in at about 110lbs. The MT830 is made of ar400 steel whick I like. I figured installing it should take about an hour or so and i would not have to do the 3 to 4 hours of assembly. They priced out at about 80$ difference which is not worth all the extra time.
I would appreciate input on installation cautions, use experiences. Does anyone have one of these models and if so- how well does it work for you?
