OT: Husqvarna mower won't start

I have a ZTH 6125 KOA. It's been made in 2002-1010.
Recently with help of neighbor I installed PA-CV740-3126 Kohler engine (last one blew up), today I added a new muffler and followed instructions.
The motor started for 10-15sec, but now I don't even hear a click when I turn the key, and the starter doesn't nudge.
Put 2 quarts of 10w-30 oil per engine book, showed "full"
The battery seems OK.
Electrical? What is most likely to 'break' after sitting for 7-8 months.
I thought it would be some safety switch.. the one on the break seemed faulty in the past, and I think it lacks one under the seat.
My nice neighbor isn't around today, so I seek help on the trusty forums.

Kinda sounds like one of the many safety switches or wiring to them quit. Operator presence (seat), reverse, brake engaged, PTO engaged. Usually takes an ohm meter to trace down in my experience. But certainly check battery voltage, all battery/solenoid/starter connections, and any/all fuses first.

It was a fuse. I think one of the safety switches (seat) shorted.

Same thing happened to my Cub - the hot wire to the seat safety switch broke off right at the wire terminal and shorted to the frame. Blew the fuse.

Glad it was an easy and inexpensive find/fix! :thumbsup:
