Where I work is a dealer for Jet tools and Jet just came out with their own branded water pumps and pressure washers. I asked what price I would have to pay for a water pump and was told cost. Can't complain about that.:cool2: They have models with Honda GX engines or Jet branded (Honda copy)engines that are made by Loncin in China. I've had great luck with my Champion water pump with a Honda copy engine so went with the Jet. It is about $200 cheaper than the Honda. I bought a 3" trash pump with a 7 HP engine for under $330. I had to go to a different place for hoses though. They were about $220 so I got a complete set up for about the same price as buying the Honda powered version.

Finally got a chance to try it out. Put the cam locks on at home and picked up some oil and gas on the way out to my land. Hooked everything up, poured a bunch of water in it and finally added fuel. Turned the ignition switch on, then turned the gas and choke on. Now for the litmus test. Pulled the starter rope and it started on the first pull! I've never had a new engine start that easy before. It's pretty quiet and runs great. I ran it about 1/4 throttle at first and gradually got it up to full throttle. I was pumping for about 4 hours and it never skipped a beat so I'm a happy camper.:cool2: I'm planning to go back out to pump tomorrow and change the oil. I've heard that makes a big difference on the copy engines. Also got my 2" Champion pump running without much difficulty considering I need to get the recoil fixed. Wrapping the rope around the hub is a PIA but not much choice when the recoil spring breaks. I bought the Champion at Costco and wanted to buy another one but they don't carry them anymore. One of the very rare times when I was at the right place at the right time. I was looking for a pump when the Jet guy dropped off the new brochure.

@ 7hp i don't tink it has oil filter, Chaging the oil and filter in the first 8 hours is a must. to remove all the metal wear.

No oil filter, that's why I'll change the oil often. Oil has got a little pricey but it's still cheap insurance when you want your equipment to work.
