I visit haytalk.com very often and all of a sudden my virus protection came up and stated it has blocked the web page because of potentially harmfull content ... I rebooted and still is blocked ... any ideas?

2 possibilities..1) the site has been hacked and is now hosting malicious software . 2) Your AV is reporting a false positive and it will likely clear up on the next definitions update.

My AV is saying the firewall has blocked the website ... I quess they are having the problem.

I had never looked at that website, so I just went there with no problem. My AV (Norton) obviously didn't find anything.

Still won't let me in this morning ... when I enter the web address it takes me to google and then I tried to open it no luck. I followed my computer instructions to resolve the problem and it advises me to turn off my firewall. Don't know if thats a good idea.

I just visited Haytalk.com with no problems. I'm using chrome and MS Security Essentials.

Your AV may have its own firewall and is just reporting that it has blocked the site. You definitely do NOT want to disable your firewall.

Do you have the opportunity to override? Can you "white-list" this site?

I am not very savy on this machine. I have McAfee ... have never had this experience.

Sometimes an ad is randomly shown on a site, which comes from a site that hosts a virus or malware...

Can you delete your cookies? You might have something in there that is setting off the anti virus software.

if you enter an address and your browser takes you elsewhere, you likely have a redirect virus on your machine. Proceed with caution.
