I was wondeirng how are TBN'ers are doing after dealing with the hurricane and current wildfires going on?

No hurricane here. Sad to say we could use the rain from a mild one or a tropical storm.

WE hoped and prayed that T S Lee would go towards Texas, it just keep dumping over us. Good luck on the rain. My wife has folks from Dallas to
San Antonio to Corpus Christi and they need rain really bad.

At first, we were just wanting rain for our ponds, cattle, crops, and yards. Now we would just be happy if rain came and put out some wildfires.

We just got hit by the hurricane, not major damage, some power out where we are. Then the tropical storm, slow moving, dumping a ton of rain on us. Lots of roads closed, kids were pulled out of school early due to flooding. This storm is worse for us then the hurricane.

I will tak a look at the other thread. Therain is killing me here. I can not do any grading or burn any brush piles. This weekend will be nice but I work all weekend.

As I understand now.....no outdoor grilling or even welding. Violators can be arrested now. Conditions are so bad...........a piece of glass, out in the sun, can start a big fire.
...........with me on crutches following knee surgery yesterday.
At least I can still run The Big RED Beast if needed.:laughing: hugs, Brandi

Brandi, with you on crutches please keep a clear path. I saw the video on how fast the texas fires are overtaking everything. Scary, even if you get to the truck, then cannot see to drive sometimes?

The fire that was closest to us (over 20 miles and a major lake between us) is out. Yesterday morning, while driving into Houston for surgery, we smelled smoke in the truck while driving through The Woodlands from the fire 20 miles west of there. You could tell in all the lights there was a smoky haze. No more winds here now. The winds were a by product of TS Lee as it headed east, northeast.
Worst comes to worst.......my deep pond is only 50 feet from my back door.
