Finally got to try out the tracks for our Kioti Mechron we got last March. Put them on (took a whole day) and now it's raining! I hate when that happens!
Got a quick trip up into the woods. 10" of snow, didn't even notice it. These are gonna be awesome!:thumbsup:
Hey Roy, we got them from our local Kioti dealer, but he merely arranged the deal. We were all in at $5,650, which included 13% taxes, so $5k. This is all CDN $$, so that equates to about $3,500 US. The company that makes them, also make for atv's for around $3,900 CDN.
Really cool. Is this something you leave on all year long or switch back when snow is gone? Is it a day job everytime you switch or is that just for the initial installation?
This is a switch out every spring and fall. I could have bought a good used snowmobile for around the same price, but I hate having the side by side sitting here unuseable in the winter. (it`s useless in snow) Its like a pickup for the woods, being a 900 CC diesel engine, it can haul anything anywhere. I have a DR Versatrailer that I use with it and together, I can load and haul a single cord of firewood at a time. Now I can use it all year long.
That was the initial install, so now that everything is setup and adjusted and I kinda know how to install it, 3 - 4 hours should switch things around. Assuming I remember from season to season!
Hey Murph, we just finished two days of rain here, but over the next few days, they`re talking about a few inches of snow again. I`ll scrape together a video or at least some pics of it climbing mountains of snow (if we ever get any).
