Maverick - there have been several threads about this.

- Yes some Canadians have bought from the USA.
- It is much easier to buy a used Kubota from the USA and get it shipped tha a new - USA dealers are being put pressure on by Kubota USA to not sell to Canadians.
- There have been one or two folks (Northland for example) who have bought in the USA but have picked up the tractor themselves.
- Kubota USA and Kubota Canada are separate entities unfortunately so there is no warranty coverage.

The good news is that I have found that prices are getting to be in line (after discounts) with USA prices. Fill out your profile and tell me where you are. If you are close to me, I can point you to a local dealer who has been giving excellent prices. Bear in mind it will probably be within a couple of thousand within the average discounted USA price, but IMHO if you can get to work with a local dealer with warranty for that, it is worth it.

Also worthwhile if you tell your local dealer that you are looking at buying from the USA if the price difference continues to be more than a couple of thousand.

What model are you thinking about?

I was thinking of a BX2350 with FEL. No need for a MMM.

The manufacturers have their rules. I can't think of to many that don't say no to this one. Warrantee could be a problem as they all say they won't be honored for the brands we work with.

It is worthy of note that John Deere treats all of North America as one region for warranty coverage... while Kubota does not. I think that the result has been that JD prices have started aligning to USA prices quicker than Kubota.

Maverick69,

Kubota has recently announced further price reductions. I think that you would be surprised with how close the pricing is. I just bought a B2620 with FEL and 60"mmm, plus a few extra items, and I found the price to be in line with what American buyers are quoting here on TBN. I was also considering a BX2350 and was quoted $13,800 plus tax with a FEL and 60"mmm (on a finance deal), which is significantly less than what I was quoted even a few months ago. I was ready to go green, but the recent price reductions made the difference for me.

P.S. Just wanted to thank Canoetrpr and the other Canucks on the site for pointing me in the right direction in terms of dealers in southern Ontario. They no doubt saved me a lot of money and aggravation, by pointing me in the right direction. Thanks again.

I'm looking to buy a M7040 4x4 w/FEL. Can you guys point me to a dealer in Ontario that is discounting to compare to the US pricing?

Not sure where you are located but around here B.E. Larkin is a good dealer to work with. I've gotten pricing from Josh West there before and he's a pretty good guy - quite aggressive and tries hard to get the sale. I get my parts from them and the guys at the parts counter are very good too.
