The CFO and I went grocery shopping this afternoon. I stopped to pick up a half-gallon of ice cream in the freezer aisle. When to my surprise, a half-gallon is no longer two quarts. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I noticed the slightly smaller package and looked to see that it held 1.75 quarts. This has gotten to be a pet peeve of mine. The manufacturers do not have the (ah... gumption) to stand up and say they are increasing their price. No, they have to quietly shrink the package size and hope that it just goes unnoticed. Well, it hasn't... and I am outraged!!
What made it worse is that I returned the carton to the freezer and went to check the other brands. To my surprise, that have all changed. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Now...you can't tell me there has been no collusion when the all change package size at the same time. The CFO has heard me complain about this before. Tuna comes to mind as another example.
