Anybody have over heating issues with their tractor? Seems every time I mow when the temp is above 85 degrees the thing overheats after about an hour of mowing. I always clean the screens and blow out the radiator. Any body have any ideas on how to help this condition? New Coolant every year also.

Thanks

Bob

595X or X595?
Have you checked the thermostat and radiator cap?

What does the exhaust sound like? Could the muffler be stopped up?

Bob,
That appears to be a slow temperature rise from what you are saying. I know you said you clean the radiator but you might wan't to use a mirror to look at the front of it to make sure you are getting it fully cleaned. If the radiator set up is similar to my 749 it is hard to see the fins straight on so the mirror helps. I can run mine all day long without any over heating issues as long as the side screens are cleared.

Check both of your air intake filters on the front of the tractor. I thought mine were good and notice that the engine seem to run a little warmer than usual this summer. Temp gauge would go up a little. Cleaned my screens and even blew out the radiator fins after every use. Orange light finally came on and it was the front filter almost plugged. Ended up changing both and it returned to normal.
