Yeah I couldn’t pass this up. Both of my trailers are the same tire and axle setup. If it wasn’t for our fantastic gentle parcel shipping I’d have it on the road today. But who would have thought you could toss brake assemblies in a box with zero packing and they might get damaged.
Oh well I’ll take the rain day while I wait for my missing parts. Tarps welded on. 1 hub left to assemble. Made a power cord with sb175 “Anderson” connectors. Running a plug out the rear of my truck so I’ll never have to worry about a dead battery when dumping. I’ll probably make my own electric Jack motor as well .
I wanted a heavy spec dump trailer , not this heavy but it will certainly do and cost wise made the smart decision. I almost bought it just for the tires to swap onto my other trailer. They are load range G 14 ply commercial tires. I wanted a 16’ no less or longer to weasel into tight residential stuff. I was curious how the tandems would pivot on such a short trailer but with the commercial tires the tires actually skid and not fold. Matched up a new spare for it. Also setup to pull doubles.
