I've switched to a PL14670 crankcase oil filter on my mf1540.
Its about double the size of stock, and for less money. I figured I'd run it at least a year before posting. I can say it performs perfect. The anti drain back seems to work even better than the stock size as the oil light goes out quicker at startup.
This should also fit the 1533. Only 'drawback ' is you need about 3 minutes more to temporarily remove the 'bolt' that the hood side panel clips on to, to screw it on(sits in front of filter). Totally worth 3 minutes in my opinion for better filtration. Expect to have to add a bit more oil at a change because of the increased filter volume.
