I bought a case of amsoil 0w20 (closest they had to the recommended 5w20) for my wifes old car. Her new car calls for 5w30 oil.. Could I use the 0w20 for the winter time here in VA without too much concern?

For those that run synthetic oil, what sort of mileage are you changing the oil? Do you change the oil filter in between oil changes?

thanks

Brian

This should be posted in the oil section. But, I guess I can answer here. 0w20m will be just fine . I change my oil based on oil analysis. Longer drains are different for different people ie, type vehicle, driving conditions ,type filter used, etc, etc,
