Hi all,
does Kubota supply owners manuals with their FEL's and MMM? I received the the manual for the BX1850 but did not get manuals on the LA203 or the 54" MMM.

Should I be asking the dealer to supply these. I purchased the tractor used so I would suspect any manuals are still in the posession of the original owner.

Is there any important "need to know" info in them.

I have already removed both implements so this is not critical information to me.

TIA

Roy

You really need them to show where to lube, how much fluid in the gearbox, adjustment, blade bolt torque and such; MMM more so than FEL as you can pretty well see all the lube fittings.

When I bought my BX2660 new from the dealer, It came with an owners manual for the tractor, one for the FEL and one for the MMM.
I am sure you can get them from Kubota, most likely free. Manufacturers are usually very interested in supplying owners manuals. Probably from a liability standpoint.

definitely get one with the MMM, most likely FEL also. Useful to have, not essential though.

Are you sure you dont have them ? they are shipped to the owner in black folded bag and placed under the seat under the metal bracket on the gas tank.

If you need a copy, let me know what you need and I can scan and email them to you. I can't imagine the info would be that different from a 18 to 23 hp BX.

I saw a black bag under the seat but didn't check to see what was inside. Will have to check this out.

thanks

I would definitely try to obtain the implement manuals if you can. Hopefully, your dealer can get them for you; even though you purchased used. The implement manuals have critical info concerning installation/uninstall, maintenance, and most of all; your safety. If you dealer can't get them for you, maybe call corporate Kubota and see if they can hook you up.

oldnslo - If you look in the black bag under the seat and find some manuals, don't be suprised if you don't see one for your FEL. Not sure if this is true for all BX's, the FEL and BH information is included in the main owners manual on a BX24. I had a separate manual for the MMM. If I am wrong, I apologize.

Finally got my shed unplowed and looked under the seat. Inside the black bag was the owners manual for the tractor, MMM, and FEL along with the spare key.

Stupid question of the day... Why wouldn't the Kubota dealer I purchased this from know about the black bag under the seat???

Thanks again

Maybe he/she's new or maybe he/she sells alot of different tractors and Kubota keeps changing what and how they provide the information between years and models. Who knows? Barlows has always handed them to me when I sign the papers but they have always been new tractors. I don't leave mine with my tractor. I take them inside and keep them together in the plastic bags they come in and then give them back to Barlows when I trade. Then they become his problem. He probably puts them in a folder with his info but i'm sure everyone has their own method of doing their paper work. Some used car dealers took all manuals for vehicles out of the glove box. I guess so the new owner couldn't track down the previous owner to find out about the cars previous history. Maybe your dealer used to be a used car sales person and didn't know about the black bag on your model. I think most of the attachment manuals are also posted on line for download and someone will probably send that site for others in need.
