Ozarker, aka X Terminator, aka Jim Valentine was first and foremost a patriot.

He was also a tractor nut with an ozark degree to confirm his lunacy for things country.

Jim was slightly less conservative than I am liberal. We enjoyed many an online debate. If a topic could be divided on a politcal line you could bet Jim would jump on one side as fast but never faster than yours truly jumping to the other perspective.

We first crossed words and developed a relationship back in 96 or 97.

In 2001 while in the middle of a to death debate on St Louis Today forums Jim threw me a curve. It was a simple "harv you're gonna love this site." He was talking about Tractorbynet.com.

Jim was a very passionate and loyal friend to many.

I can say with some confidence that if he knew I was alerting his friends on TBN of his demise he'd be most proud of first being a patriot. And then of course he'd be proud of his role of being a father and husband.

He will be missed.

I'm not sure where he is right now. But just in case I'm going to start studying, eternity is a long time.

I did not really know Ozarker but any man that can be called a great father, husband and citizen is a true American hero.

Tonight when I am sittin on a horse, letting it catch its air, I will take a moment of silence for him as I watch sun set. I trust he will be duely missed by those that knew him best.

Sure sorry to find out about Ozarkers passing. He will be missed.

Harvey, do you know what part of the Ozarks he was from? I grew up in North West Arkansas, Altus and Ozark to be exact. Just wondering if he was from about the same area.

Morning James,

Jim was retired military and lived close to Ft Lenardwood (sp) outside of St Louis I believe.

He lived on a lake. The lady who chased me down to tell about his death sent me a picture of him taken a couple of months ago. He was on a jet ski with his grandson. The boy is having a hard time understanding why his grandpa isn't coming home from the hospital. I can't find a way to downsize the photo or I'd post it online.

Jim and me talked a couple of times on the telephone. We missed meeting each other by a couple of minutes one time in Plano. My cell phone battery died and by the time I got it charged back up he was in Oklahoma.

He'll be missed.

Ft Leonard Wood is about halfway between St Louis and Springfield. There is an area nearby called Lake of the Ozarks. Ft Leonard Wood is home to the Army Engineer Center and School and recently the MP and Chemical schools.

Essayons Ozarker.
