I don't know about NC, but according to my dealer here in MI, anything I buy within the first year of the tractor purchase, I get a "package deal" price. Set of forks (aftermarket) I'm waiting on supposedly retails for 8 something, I'm getting for 715 otd. Best thing to do is ask and shop around. I checked 3 JD dealers and their prices were all different, as well as the NH dealer I checked.

If you're talkiing about deals like this in Oklahoma, I'm curious too:

John Deere 3032E - John Deere MachineFinder

Package includes, new JD 3032E, loader, cutter, box blade, and trailer big enough for it all- only $19.5K. If that price is legit, wouldn't it be worth it to rent a truck (if you needed to), go get it, and tow it back. There are several similar packages at that dealer for other CUTS packages.

Thats exactly the type of package I had in mind- Seem common out that way but not on the east coast...

I think it's legit. I've been seeing and hearing 2 different JD dealers advertising this in the last couple of weeks. I think it's a fair deal, but not a steal.

$15800 for the tractor with loader, $1700 for the trailer, $700 for the box blade, $1200 for the cutter. That's how I'd break it down and it comes to 19400. I know it is green paint, but that's a little high on the trailer and equipment to me.

Package deals are usually legitimate. I bought a package deal in the Orange color and it worked out fine for my needs. The key is to know exactly what your buying. Also, have a use for all the equipment that comes in the package. Some dealers will go with a substitution if, for example, you don't need a box blade. Distance to pick up is also a factor.
On my package, the only changes I made were R4 tires from R1's and adding a quick attach system to the loader. The additional cost was very minimal. I've used all the equipment in the package (loader, box blade, rotary mower) and even the 18' trailer has performed other duties besides hauling the tractor package home.
Ironically, I had looked at tractor packages out of Texas that were of the Green color, but when I called about them the salesman was so disinterested in making a sale that I gave up on Green. He just didn't believe I would drive to Texas from Missouri to pick the package up. Big mistake. Mike.
