im doing some work on my ROPS and need to repaint. its a b7200 kubota. i have the kubota orange, but what is the grey color used on the frame, ROPs, etc.?
When I painted the ROPS on my old B7100 I used Rustoleum Hammered finish paint. It is a dark charcoal and held up well in the woods. Doesn't match the Kubota gray but since it was the roll bar it was not too noticable.
I hope you are using Chevrolet Orange engine spray paint instead of Kubota Orange high dollar spray paint. Same color at 1/2 or 1/3 the price of Kubota's cans and I think it may be even tougher than Kubota paint.
Wish somebody could come up with a shade of blue, that is what Kubota calls that color. I made the dealer give me a free can when I bought the B7510 but that stuff is about $8 a can if you buy it.

For once I have to disagree with you Bill. When I bought my tractor it had a few areas that were pretty scratched up and I wanted to fix them. I bought one of those $8 cans of Kubota Orange II and I couldn't believe how good the results were. I've used Chevy Orange... not on the Kubota, but, I've never used a spray paint that had as good of a finish as the Kubota paint did. All I did was use a little emory cloth to scuff up the paint and smooth out the scratches, I wiped it down with Simple Green to remove any dirt/grease and then I hit it with about 2-3 coats of the Kubota paint. It actually looks like factory paint! The high gloss finish makes it look like it has a few layers of clear coat on it. I'll stand by the Kubota paint.. it definatly worked out great for me! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
