Dumb question of the day...
How would one go about, or start, to inquire about the worth of some particular paintings from another country?
These paintings are from Thailand, made in the early 70's, at places of worship (Temples), that apparently are no longer made. They're not really paintings using traditional paint, but sort of like "rubbings" made on rice paper from the walls of the temples.
My father aquired them when he was stationed in Thailand during the Vietnam war, and now they are just sitting up in his attic and he would like to get rid of them (no place in my house).
That said, they may be worthless, however, they are actually beautiful works of art and I would hate for something of value to be thrown out not knowing their worth.
Any direction where to look would be of help.
Thanks
