My neighbor offered to sell me his 4ft Palladino rototiller for $600.00. It has no more than 25 hours on it and looks like new. He got it 15 years ago when he got his tractor and has not used it for the past 8 years. One thing that concerns me is can I get parts for it if needed, and are they any good to begin with? I can't find any info on the web about them and the dealer he got it from doesn't carry them anymore. Thanks for any info about them. Von

$600 sounds steep to me.. for a 15yr old piece of equipment. You can buy a new one delivered to your door for $900. I'd get him to go down to about 300-400 the price of a used tiller even though it might be "new condition" parts for one are not going to be easily found i bet and not worth saving 30% in my book for a out dated piece of equipment that you know has set that long and probaly has hidden failure from condensation and rust.

Is that $900.00 for the same make and model? or some other off brand? I don't know if they still make this model or anything for that matter, as I can't find a web site for them. Von

Palladino is also sold under the name of Curtis in the USA.

CCI,
I can't find anything about either Palladino or Curtis rototillers on the web. Are they still making these, and can I get parts if needed? Were they any good, or are they junk? Thanks for your help. Von

There are 40+ companies MFG tillers in Italy and all of them are similar. The Italians USA models are mostly chain drive light to medium duty. I know of 2 Palladino distributors in the USA. This brand is not widely sold in the USA. The first Palladino tillers 10+ years ago had 4 blades per flange and they were not arranged with a scroll so they would bite into the earth and the tiller would vibrate. Their current design is good and you would be satisfied with their current 6 tines per flange design.
