Pallet fork trailer mover

OK this all looks ok but i can't see why

I just drove the forklift over to the piller drill and bored a hole in the fork 3 inchs from the end

Then we just screw in the ball handtight when we move trailers around in the yard and pop the ball behind the seat when we are moving pallets been used for 5 years now like that no problems and we have slide on extentions and we havn't bent the end across the hole so it is doing no harm

It just seems like hard work and an extra item to store

i thought abut that also, but was afraid what an actual hitch weight of 1,500 pounds from my wifes gooseneck trailer will do to the fork.

i also dont think carrying 1500# out 48" + distance of the pallet fork main frame is a very good idea. maybe im all wrong. i dont know how to calculate the force at that point.

I managed to put the trailer mover on the CT322 a few days ago but haven't tried it.
Nice, Jacob!! ... You did a great job!!

That's a lot better than drilling a hole in the end of the forks!... I've seen guys do that...The fork gets weak at the ''tip'', and will bend!

Thanks for sharing your project!

Good-Luck on selling the other one!:)

That is what i did to my pallet forks. We didnt have the ability to do that with the forks on the CT322 so this was my second option. Since i only use my forks on my little Yanmar drilling the hole probably wont effect the fork since i can move a max. amt. of 500 pounds.
