Here's my first attempt at pallet forks. I tried to take different ideas I could see out there and combine.

I went with the chain approach. I'm anxious to see how they work.

The steel is C-Channel from pallet racking (ironic isn't it). I think the wall is thick enough and should hold up to anything my loader can lift.

They extend approximately 45 inches from the bucket.

I'm into it for (exluding welding rod and cutting discs) for approximately $50.

I paid $15 for 10 foot long sections of the steel and used two of them with quite a bit left over for other projects. I spent $20 in 12 foot of chain.

Hi, thanks for the information on chain, I got it at Home Depot, never my favorite place to go.

I got the steel at Brentwood Surplus, 309 State Route 125, Brentwood, NH 03833.

They are nice people there, I like going there, they specialize in used racking and the like.

Lots of great stuff.

I'm figuring out how to use their other racking for storage at my house.

They've also got used fork trucks, even a dozer out front right now.

Rolling racks, used forklift pallet forks, etc.

I've come to love R & R........ 5 flap discs for $10, as opposed to $7 each @ TSC ! Bought some 2x2 hitch reciever tube $18 vs. $56 @ Sanels. I really wish they would open a Harbor Freight up here :(. Sometimes ya just want the cheap stuff.

your right ductape, harbor freight would be great. I buy a bunch of their 4-1/2 cut off discs. I pay at least half of what I'd pay at home depot and I go through a lot of them.

Would love to find a good welding shop near me with reasonable prices on sticks.

I have trouble finding the 7014 which are the ones I like best.

I found some hitch tube at the transfer station a couple months back, someone had thrown out a hitch.

I like to find that stuff and keep around for when I need it. I try to grab as much steel as I can at the transfer station.
