Forks Pallet Forks

All,
I am interested in a set of pallet forks for using with my tractor. I have the skid steer style attachment plate for my FEL. Anyone have any recommendations? I am looking for something adjustable (width of forks) witha 4K# capacity. Any pricing ideas as well?

I bought a set of 4000 LB pallet forks for a skid steer a few years ago. I gave $600 for them new. The forks are adjustable just like a fork lift (width). There are alot of them around here. but hard to find used ones.

Piranhaattachments.com has some with either 42" or 48" forks rated at 3700lbs. They weigh in at 400lbs. They have them listed on ebay for about $400.00.
I called them and spoke to a lady named Stella. She would sell me a set for 400 plus shipping.

markhamwelding.com was my choice of forks. I do not use them all the time. These breakdown quickly and easily so I can store them flat against the wall, out of the way, in the corner of the shed. They said shipping would take 7 to 10 days. I received them in 4 days half way across the country.

I use a set of Woods forks on my TN75D. They cost me about $850 delivered.

Good deals can be ocassionally found at the steel scrap yard. Lots of the forks are junk, and some seem to be in great shape. Both my loader forks and 3PH forks were scrap steel purchases.

Price is the advantage. Here, a pair will sell for $100 or less.

Search on Ebay for the user " forklifttrader ". A few weeks ago they had an auction for 36" forklift forks for $75 a pair. I ended up getting two pairs of 32" forks from them. They were great to deal with. Give them a call and ask for Jay or Michael - you might be able to get a complete frame with forks out of them that you could then adapt to your quick attach.
