I am a new owner of a JD 5403 that has a 522 FEL mounted on it. I bought it on an auction and when I got it home, started looking it over more. I then noticed that the parking stands that you attach to the frame when you want to remove the loader are missing. I called the local JD dealer and to get both of them replaced was more than $500.
These stands are nothing more than a piece of tubing with a foot welded on it and a through hole. Definitely something that my local fab shop should be able to do for less.
I am wondering if there are any 522/524 loader owners out there that would mind providing some basic dims on the stands? Looking for tubing size (522 is round and 524 is square), length from cross hole to foot, cross hole diameter and angle of the foot to the tube.
I have attached a picture from the owners manual (524 is shown).
I have searched this forum multiple times but couldn’t find any other threads. If I’ve missed it, please point me to the existing information.
