If you have the operator's manual for the mower deck, it is on pages 6&7, under the installation section.
It says to turn the lift rod assembly (the thing we both bent) to lengthen the distance between the centerline of the yoke holes (the horseshoe shaped things that go on the end) to 625cm (24.6 inches).
Another thing that you should know. The nuts & yokes that go on the ends are two different sizes and different part numbers. If you damaged anything else, make sure that you order the correct part.
When I bent it, I was trying to turn the mower height control knob 360 degrees as stated in the manual. Once I fixed it, I haven't messed with it again. I can't set the height higher than #4, but that's fine with me. I don't leave the grass that long anyway.
