parts for GC 1705

On the GC 1705 there is a small bracket that holds the 3-pt hitch top link when not in use.

Long story short... I bent mine.

Any idea where to get a replacement? Is this something that I can continue to do without?

Yes, most older tractors do not have one. I leave mine dangle or store it in the bumper. Most of the time something is hooked to it. Mower, hayforks ect.

I always keep mine on even though I have something on the 3pt often. But it is a rather clever little optional piece and ceates a way to keep your toplink available . . But it isn't required. If you bent it so badly you can't straighten it . . There must have been some pretty good pressure . . Did you hurt your toplink too ?

I left it "engaged" while using the 3pt. No harm to the toplink at all. Holder is bent just enough that it doesn't work. I tried to straighten it but, due to the shape of the piece, cannot get a "grip" on it to bend it back. It's too small to get enough leverage.

I figured a small piece like that would be simple to find and replace. No idea where to get one.
