Perhaps parts for my EZGo electric cart might be off topic here, but it's my handy UTV... cheap but gets the job done.
Situation is that I need ONE tie-rod end for the cart. Cheapest price I've found is over $50. Now, I'm quit certain that parts manufacturers aren't making one special tie-rod end specifically for golf carts. I would expect that EZGo is using the same part that is used on some common automobile.
So - why would the same part for a cart be 100% more expensive than the same part for an automobile? This scenario isn't reserved just for golf carts. I've seen the same kind of thing for cars, trucks, etc. For example, the same part for a Cadillac is way more expensive than the same part for a Chevrolet, even though they're often identical.
Are we all just plain ole stupid? Is there a way to shut down these scalpers? Perhaps we need a master cross-fit list like the salvage yards have for auto parts.
