i must be thinking of ym2000 like i have. Mine it top filter though.

That's cool. It's the little details that make it easier for new owners or possible owners to figure out what they are looking at.
I don't know if this has been discussed before but it does appear the screens on either side of the engine are different between the green and red ones. Mine follows the hood line and goes all the way to the air filter.

Evidently there is a difference in the side screens. The side screens on my red YM1500 are as damammel describes and they are Yanmar white.
