Do you ever feel like everything on your tractor is going wrong at the same time?

Well I’ve had 2 problems this week!

The second one is I think the clutch is slipping, by which I mean when I let the clutch out the gears don’t mesh immediately- nothing happens at first and then once the engine gets up to speed the gears engage. This hasn’t always been the case and when I let the clutch out the tractor used to more or less instantly go forward, but now if there is a load on ie flail mower or trailer the gears don’t seem to engage at all.

now this being one of those pesky two part questions, the second part would be if the clutch is slipping, how do I adjust it?

Thanks in advance for any ideas😁

Don't be reluctant to call Pasquali in Italy. Likely, you can get an owner's manual, shop manual, and maybe speak with a technician for guidance.

Do you feel any free play on the clutch pedal? If not, try to adjust the linkage from the pedal to the release bearing pivot shaft, so you get about an inch of free play on the pedal.

Also found this article that may or may not help you, but still worth a look: Pasquali Clutch Repair

Pasquali and Ferrari are owned by BCS. The new tractors are all the same, just different paint color.

So is the situation that a new clutch would have the clutch linkage/wire tight so the clutch has some adjustment on it and releasing the clutch is less strenuous? Which would mean adjusting/slackening/lengthening the cable would push the clutch plates closer together, assuming there is some adjustment left on it of course?

Sorry if the above sounds dumb or obvious but as I’ve mentioned in the past I’m just a tractor operator, not a mechanic 😁

Sorry, I had this thread open yesterday, then got busy with something else and completely forgot to get back to it.

So I found a manual da covers clutch adjustment. Hopefully it helps you getting it adjust. Now, when a clutch starts slipping, there is usually no hope for it other than a new one, but we will if the adjustment works first.
