I have a Peco pasture vac and the flex hose is full of cracks and tears. What size is this hose, and more importantly, what kind of hose do i need and where can I buy it for the best price? Some of this flex hose seems crazy expensive, but maybe it's a heavier/more industrial application than I need.
There are two grades of hose used for this type of
vacuum work both of which work very well.
I would contact the folks at Cyclone Rake as it looks
exactly like the hose they use and they are family owned
and operated firm.
The engine on these vacs seems underpowered to me
compared to some vacuums. Are the impeller paddles
flat on these vacuums?
If your impeller blades are flat it certainly seems
as if one of Clarences snow blower impeller kits
would really work well and turn these units into
a super sucker!!
The heavier commercial grade cyclone rake vacuum hose
is stronger and thicker.
With every crack and hole you have in the suction and
discharge hoses you loose a percentage of the available
pressure gradient created by the impeller which affects
the efficency of the system.
