Re: Pat\'s Easy Change comin ....

When I installed mine, I took the time to square and plumb them to the lower links and frame via the included adjustment screws and u-bolts. Waste of time. On my BX with extreme changes in geometry from lowered to lifted positions and implements of varying mounting widths and heights, it made for tedious hookups. I have since removed the screws and slackened up the u-bolts so everything is nice and sloppy. Works well. I also used baby lynch pins and/or hairpins instead of any rollpins or cotterpins on my entire 3PH, including Pat's.
Cheers!

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change comin ....

Doug,
On one side of mine, no matter what I did, the hole just would not line up enough to get the large pin driven in. I chamfered the edges of the end and drove it right in. Just one little tip if you need it.
Sure has been a life saver for me. My son who had never driven a tractor until 3 weeks ago commented how much easier it must be now that they have been installed.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change comin ....

I really like mine! It's not a miracle worker, but it's sure easier to rig implements. I hardly ever use foul language directed toward my rotary cutter anymore.

You may find your top link is too short. Mine is borderline for use on my finishing mower...I don't like having the last few threads (of the turnbuckle) holding it all together.

You may also find your PTO shaft too short.

Otherwise, a nice, easy installation.

Oh Roy!!!

I hadn't considered the top link or the PTO Shaft ...

Yikes ... that would suck ...

I got Pat's system on ... and wasn't planning to actually use it until next spring but now ... after what you've said ... I may just untarp the Landpride cutter and see if she fits ....

Man I hope this single solution didn't cause 2 more problems ....

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change comin ....

Doug,
If it does cause a problem with the PTO shaft, it only changes things by 3-4 inches. Go to TSC and buy a 4" PTO extension.

Re: Pat\'s Easy Change comin ....

I would second this post to the letter. I also tried to do it "right" then figured out it works better with just the pin in the link holes and go from there. Did you get extra of the bent washers from them for each of your implements?

Sorry Muhammad, I guess this entire thread could have been done in the original thread you set up.

My apologies /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
