I had some time today to visit another dealer, which it turned out was good for me. I priced the rims separately and found out that the rims were almost the same price as the tire/rim package, so that option was out. But I was able to get a 5% discount off of list price of the package and the freight at cost, which he thought would be less than $200. Definitely worth shopping around a bit. I think that dealers get complacent and just assume that you will go back to them for all dealer items without any price comparisons with other dealers. This is true in most cases, but now I'm more inclined to get a second price, especially on bigger $ items.

I still think that freight is something that should be covered by the dealer if its on a stock order, but it seems its becoming standard practice to add it. Just like "buyers premiums" at auctions, which really tick me off....
