If anyone is looking for a set of light duty clamp-on bucket forks AND wants a safety load backstop, check out the Paynes Fork PF800. Paynes will add the load back rest sockets used on their PF2000 medium duty forks to the PF800 as a special order. You need to place the order by telephone, tell them it is a special order, and tell them what you want added. I ordered my set on a Monday and received them the next Monday. Paynes is advertising the PF800 for $325 including shipment to the USA. My PF800 Specials were $350 including shipment. :)

I just called Paynes and asked if I could get the load backrest on the PH800's (light duty forks) and they told me they were only available on the PH2000's

I am pretty sure they told me the same thing when I inquired about a year ago.

The PH2000's seem a little overkill for a B7800 with a woods 1008 FEL.

cny - I will try to find my notes from when I bought my PF800s, especially who I talked with. The folks at Payne called them "special."

Rusty,

Just curious about the set-up you've got. Mind sharing the result on the special forks.

Thanks

Diamondback - You can see the PF800 ("light duty") forks at the link in the first post. Then, go to the "medium duty forks" to see the PF2000 forks with backrest stops (sockets to accept nom. 2" X 4" lumber). My PF800 Specials have sockets ADDED that look just like the PF2000s. My main reason for buying the forks was to lift square hay bales from a hay wagon to my hay stack in the barn. I really don't want to tip one or more bales back onto the hood or operator, which will probably will be my wife, as I will be putting the bales on the forks or pallet and taking them off and stacking them. I have not done hay since receiving the forks, but have used them to move a home-made harrow, which I estimate at about 400#. The forks worked fine. Again, safety was very high on my requirement list for the forks. Best Wishes, Rusty
