recently saw new peerless chains on craigslist for $200. I am afraid it may be a scam. Anybody with knowledge of this brand for full size tractor (Ford 4500)? I see that sears sells them for small lawn-type tractors

Peerless markets all manner of tire chains. $200 for a brand new pair to fit a 4500 would be less than half price, I'd guess. Peerless are US-made and high priced.

There is a dealer in Northern Dutchess county (NY) selling a bunch of sets (N.O.S.) on craigslist. That place is legit. the only problem i have is that the set i bought yesterday hits my fenders ..
